Erith Connect Ltd – Temporary Road Closure – Oakfield Lane, Dartford – 10th August 2026 for 19 days
The road will be closed outside North Kent College.
The alternative route is via Oakfield Lane, Heath Lane Upper, B2174 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street/Hawley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of new Gas, Electric and Water supplies for new development are undertaken by Erith Connect Ltd.

Kent County Council will be working to improve the road surface of the Heathclose Road between Shepherds Lane and the Heath Lane Upper.
These road surface improvement works are programmed to start on Fri 3rd July 2026 and should take 1 day
to complete. These activities will be undertaken during a short working window between the hours of 7am and 7pm
During this closure, a diversion route will be in place via
A2018 Shepherds Lane, B2174 Princes Road and Heath Lane.

Kent County Council will be working to improve the road surface of Goss Hill, Hawley between Barn End
Lane and Lower Road.
These road surface improvement works are programmed to start on the Weds 1st July 2026 and should take 1 day to complete. These activities will be undertaken during a short working window between the
hours of 7am and 7pm.
During these essential works it will be necessary to close the road completely so that we can carry out the
works safely for both the workforce and road users. During this closure, a diversion route will be in place
via Top Dartford Road, Home Hill and Lower Road.

Maintenance activities being undertaken by KCC Highways starting on 8th June 2026 for 1 night – works being undertaken 20:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs on night of works.
Works undertaken include but not limited to – vegetation clearance – grass and verge cutting – Sign cleaning – litter picking – (undertaken by local authority) – Emptying and cleaning drains, localised road surfacing, replacement of other assets (street lights / barriers)

Emergency Speed Limit Reduction – Oakfield Lane, Wilmington
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 MPH will be imposed on a section of Oakfield Lane, Wilmington.
The 30 MPH applies in both directions on Oakfield Lane, Wilmington between the roundabout of Leyton Cross Road and Pinewood Place roundabout, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 10th March 2026 for up to 4 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed and it is safe to do so.
These works are in conjunction with Temporary Traffic Lights.

Emergency road closure – birchwood drive, wilmington
it will be necessary to close Birchwood drive, Wilmington from 16th February 2026 for up to 15 days. The road will be closed from the junction of silver Birch Close, for 10 metres into Birchwood Drive. There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so. The purpose of this work is to carry out drainage repairs.
