Steve Ridley Councillor for Maypole and Leyton Cross Dartford Kent

Cllr. Steve Ridley was elected on a Reform UK platform, guided by the values of common sense, accountability, and putting people before politics. While he proudly supports these principles, his foremost responsibility as a Borough Councillor is to represent all residents of Maypole and Leyton Cross, regardless of their political persuasion.

He works actively on local issues, supports community initiatives, and speaks up on Dartford Borough Council to ensure residents’ concerns are heard. His priorities include improving local services, fostering community spirit, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment across the ward.

Alongside his ward duties, Cllr. Ridley attends all General Assembly Council meetings, and also serves on the Cabinet Advisory Panel B, Crime and Disorder (Overview and Scrutiny) Committee, Licensing Committee, and the Overview & Scrutiny Committee. He is also the Deputy Leader of the Reform UK Council Group (Dartford), helping to shape policy and hold the Council to account.
